Sheila & Peter - The Dairy, Waddesdon Manor

On 17th October a very special lady - Sheila - married her Peter at The DairyA beautiful day and an unseasonably warm October temperature greeted us at the start of the day.  Sheila was so easy to work with and her colour choice was fairly neutral and the selection of flowers was pretty much left to me.  Sheila had seen some amazing wedding flower photo's taken by Mark Sisley from a previous wedding which gave me an idea of her preferences.   Based on this we agreed to decorate The Dairy with pale pink roses and ivory hydrangea brought together with a lovely ruby red hypericum berry to give the whole ensemble a subtle autumn look.

Sheila chose a hand-tied bouquet of all white flowers - roses, stephanotis and alstromaria - with lots of diamante to compliment her fabulous wedding dress.  Her bridesmaid wore a lovely deep peacock blue gown and carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses, alstromaria with viburnum berries to match the fabric.

The marriage ceremony took place in the Winter Garden which houses the fabulous stone urn that we filled with flowers and a full garland of matching flowers around the base.  The wedding breakfast took place in the West Hall.  The table centres consisted of a large ball of roses and hydrangeas placed on our tallest lily-vase.

Extract of feedback after the wedding - Sheila:  'What can I say, I was absolutely blown away with your floral arrangements.  They were absolutely fabulous.  You certainly pulled out all the stops! ......it was your flowers that got them talking ...they were just superb!!!'
